Editor’s Note: HALLOWEEN, a chance to dress up and get candy… HELLO… totally AWESOME! Of course you are going to need something to carry all that sugary loot in. That is why when Christina approached us with the idea of doing a Duct Tape purse or wallet tutorial for the magazine… we jumped on the band wagon, but asked her to give it a Halloween Trick or Treat Bag twist. Christina not only delivered what we asked for… she knocked it out of the ball park. Want to know HOW DO YOU DO THAT? Below are the instructions.
DUCT TAPE TRICK OR TREAT BAG
Paper bag, scissors, and your choice of duct tape
First, if your bag has handles, cut them off. (picture 1) Next, start taping around the bag with your duct tape. (pictures 2 & 3) Now, you are going to make the handles. Cut two 12″ pieces of tape and two 10″ pieces of tape. Then take your 10 and 12 inch pieces and lay the shorter piece in the middle of the longer piece. Finally, attach the handles to your bag. (pictures 4-6)
To add a little pizazz to the bag, I added a little duct tape bow with tulle behind it. To see how to make the bow, visit my blog: Christina’s Special Creations.
And that is How You Do That!!!
Christina is 13 and in the 8th grade and recently started her own blog and Facebook page called: Christina’s Special Creations. She was inspired to start blogging by her mom, who is the blogger behind Crissy Crafts. She hopes her love for making easy crafts and sweet treats will help her become a BIG TIME blogger like her mom one day. Christina is also the big sister to two younger siblings ages 9 and 3. Although neither of her siblings are on the spectrum, she does have close family friends who are. That is why Christina is so excited to be a part of Shout Out Online Magazine.
